Изменение сценария загрузки файлов, позволяющее пустое поле файла

Я работаю над решением, предоставленным Cool Hand Luke UK, которое загружает файл и добавляет различные подробности в MySQL ( вот сообщение ). Пока что работает отлично, но я хочу немного изменить ситуацию.

Моя форма настроена так, чтобы пользователи могли добавлять либо файл, либо URL-адрес, но не оба сразу (код ниже, еще некоторые работы, которые нужно сделать, чтобы показать / скрыть поля URL и файла, но я уверен, что вы получили идею ). Я хотел бы использовать тот же скрипт, но сталкиваться с проблемами, когда поле файла не заполнено.

Я надеялся, что кто-то может помочь настроить php, чтобы позволить мне иметь обе функции, используя тот же php?
